Dr.
Roderique's training and experience in hand and upper extremity
surgery has been extensive and has taken him to some of the leading
hand centers in the United States and Europe. He completed a residency
in Orthopaedic Surgery at Yale University and was a Christine
Kleinert Fellow in hand surgery at the University of Louisville.
While there, his training took him to leading hand centers in
West Germany and Switzerland.
Not
only is Dr. Roderique Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery,
but he also has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery
of the Hand. He belongs to several local and national medical
organizations including the American Medical Association,
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and American Society
for Surgery of the Hand. He is a consultant to several large manufacturing
and insurance companies throughout the United States and has spoken
to world-wide audiences on the subject of carpal tunnel syndrome.
In fact, he developed his own minimally invasive surgical approach
to the carpal tunnel, thus minimizing the postoperative morbidity.
On occasion, he has demonstrated his finer surgical skills live
on local and international television. He lectures frequently
to medical students and physicians as well as to lay people.
