The state-of-the-art
Occupational Therapy Department of The Roderique Centre is capable
of handling any upper extremity rehabilitation challenge. These services
are provided by a registered Occupational Therapist with special training
in hand rehabilitation. Each patient is individually evaluated and
placed in a treatment program designed for his or her particular needs.
To facilitate communication regarding patients' progress, the therapist
and hand surgeon meet weekly to discuss the treatment program of patients
in therapy. The surgeon is available on site to consult with the therapist
daily if needed. The goal of the Therapy Department is to rehabilitate
injured workers as quickly as possible and return them to their work
environment.
